WARNING LONG FILE:
Dude this little bastard was made in like record time! He was started Wednesday night D:< anyway this goblin was made for a 3d project were we found an artist, studied there work, then get a relic and make a reliquary around it. Well I chose Brian Froud for the artist and a ring my mom gave me for the relic and I chose fraud because my mother loves his art and especially his goblins..she thinks they are cute..
Now then I made him sort of a collector, he does not steal his treasures he finds them as you probably cant see he has mix and match buttons and charms hanging off his belt sash, and in his palm a new found treasure ( the ring my mom gave me) I decided to give him a sweeter disposition then some of Frouds other goblins to not make him a sinister and thief like. I also was very careful on the fabrick I chose for his clothing..
OK listen I am not a seamstress, or a hatmaker, or a hairstylist, or even a fucking cobbler! Cut me some freakin slack on the clothing craftsmanship ;_;
Note: it looks a lot better in person and his skin has a warmer hue to it, my camera is just
a duche bag sometimes
Materials: some fabrics, buttons, super sculpy, and acrylic paint.
I love the pose and the head! His eyes are so creepy but he's really well made, and I actually love how you dressed him. It matches the character. Goblins take what they find and use them, so it makes him look more scruffy and like he picked up random pieces where he could and made himself a little jester-like outfit. I think it suits him.
Well thank you he was supposed to represent that im a pack rat and pick up random crap and whatnot like little treasures and im happy you caught on to that
you always have to look past what is physical in a character and look for their characteristics and personality. How the character acts and does what he does, is what makes the character who they are. I love that you gave him so much character that I could practically hear his voice when I saw him.
I totally would have been scared out of my mind by this when I was little but golly that's impressive.. His clothes look great! I love the pics from before he was finished too. It looks like he's waring tin foil underwear or something
I've wanted to emulate Froud's style in paint and in miniature for a long time, I just never seem to work up the nerve.
Wow.
I really am jealous. I don't know how you do that. I am so fecking useless at anything like sculpture. I can only ever make 1 character. The blob.
You is cheating. I knows it. *suspicious eyes* XD
